Simple Fall Wrapping

Banded Fall Wrapping

I’ve never really mastered that photo perfect bow worthy of Martha Stewart. Because of that I’m always trying to find new ways to dress up a present without spending twenty minutes battling a ribbon.

Here’s what you’ll need for this fall inspired wrap:

  • Decorative or wrapping paper of your choice (I used Terra Batik to give me a nice textural base)
  • Ribbon
  • Thin twine or yarn
  • Skeleton Leaves
  • Glue (I used my favorite Zip Dry)
  • Bone Folder (this isn’t absolutely necessary but really helps create crisp edges & folds when wrapping)

The whole project is super simple and only took me about 10 minutes. After I wrapped the box with Terra Batik I added a single band of pale gold ribbon around the center and glued it in the back. A few wraps of brown twine added some contrast and a couple skeleton leaves for sparkle. I added a dab of zip dry to the base of each leaf before tucking it under the ribbon to help keep everything in place.

And voila a simple elegant fall inspired wrapping!
