Glitter Chiffon…Yay or Nay?

We received these samples from Shizen Design asking for our opinion. We love them, but want to know what you think. They are a chiffon base paper similar to some others we carry (you can check out our chiffon papers here). If you’ve never bought any of our chiffons I know other suppliers sometimes refer to it as a sheer viscose paper. You can see from the closeup they have a glitter finish, and I’m not talking about just a hint of shimmer you may not even notice, this is glitter baby.

I usually don’t like glittery things, but these are whole different story. They’re all beatigul.

Personally I don’t really like them but on the other hand I make paper music boxes for a living (thank you Paper Mojo for being a source of much inspiration) and I see these papers making beautiful fairy and Twinkle Twinkle Little Star boxes.

These are quite unique. I say go for it in a small way and see how they fly!

  5. Leann says:

They have a beautiful subtle elegance. They would make great backgrounds for my cards.

  6. Diane Tompkins says:

These papers have a lovely appearance – almost fabric-like. Could be great for costume and mask-making. Something like the masked ball scenes in “Amadeus”!

  7. Tinga says:

I love these. They would really show from a distance, especially under lights.

  8. Golden says:

Omg, LOVE them! I’m a sucker for all things that sparkle anyway. The fabric-like texture puts it over the top!

  9. Hannah says:

Love these! Where do I get it? I’m making invitations and this is perfect!!!!
